Lisbon South Bay and Baía do Tejo assets based in the counties of Almada, Barreiro and Seixal were presented between 27 and 29 June in Seoul, to official entities, associations and business groups of reference of the Republic of Korea.

This initiative emerged as part of the promotion work carried out by Baía do Tejo, together with the municipalities of Almada, Barreiro and Seixal, from the creation of the Lisbon South Bay brand, which has the partnership of Invest Lisboa. This important investment attraction event followed the visit of the diplomatic corps of the Republic of Korea based in Portugal to the territories of Lisbon South Bay at the end of 2017, in an initiative promoted by Portugal IN task force and whose Korean delegation was headed by His Excellency Mr. Chul-min Park, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Lisbon.

The visit had a strong Portuguese delegation, supported by the Portuguese Embassy in Korea and AICEP delegation in the Republic of Korea.

After the visit of the Ambassador of Korea to the territories in the south of Lisbon promoted by Portugal IN, this mission was an important second step towards the deepening of the commercial relations between Lisbon South Bay and Korean entrepreneurs and investors.

The continuity of this approach should focus on specific projects, such as Watercity project, with a relevant dimension for the Korean market, duly detailed in all its aspects and with strong institutional support. This next phase may involve a new joint mission and / or B2B meetings in Korea where projects should be submitted at a mature stage so that investors can access a set of information that allows their investment decision. The possibility of inverse missions of the entities with whom meetings are held is also a scenario to be set in the near future.
